Babysitter.hr
Babysitter Ltd, an agency that mediates between nannies and families, was founded in Zagreb in 2014 and it is the first and only agency in Croatia that specializes in child care and early learning services.
The main idea and vision of the Agency is to serve as a place for parents who want loving and professional care for their children. Trustworthiness, qualified nannies, skilled personnel and perpetual accessibility are cornerstones of our Agency. Our nannies have theoretical and practical work experience with children of different ages, their backgrounds have been meticulously verified by our team and they can converse with children in various foreign languages.
Abetted by her personal experiences of searching for a qualified nanny she could trust, Mirela Polgar founded the Agency.
Mirela Polgar is the owner and the director of Zona Znanja, an educational centre that provides services of preparation for working or studying abroad and specializes in matriculating students in the best universities in the world. She got her master’s degree at Harvard and she has been thriving with Zona znanja since she returned to Croatia. As a married woman and a mom to two boys, 1.5 and 3 years old, she faced the time-consuming and tiresome process of finding a nanny for her children.
How and why are we here? – message from the director
Two years ago, when our older son was just eight months old and we found out that we were expecting another baby, I decided to hire a nanny. At first, I thought that would not be a problem in a country with such high unemployment rate, but the path was very time-consuming and tiresome. I told all of our friends, acquaintances, colleagues and business partners that we are looking to hire a nanny in hopes that we would get recommendations for a reliable and qualified person. We were not comfortable with leaving our child and home with a total stranger, and an agency that could help us did not exist. That is why I decided to found such an agency. I was also inspired by situations in which my friends and acquaintances often find themselves: when they need help for a short period of time, due to illness of their parents or children, absence of their nanny, an unexpected trip or any other kind of occurrence, when they do not have the assistance of grandmas, grandpas and other family members.
